Looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to join our supportive and inclusive team. Full time opportunity available based in Moolap or Adelaide with travel.

About the role

As the Quality Assurance Officer, you will have a diverse role that includes monitoring calibration, conducting internal audits for quality, and providing training for the team to meet quality standards, as well as contribute to major projects. Your down to earth and friendly manner will see you excelling very quickly. You will be involved in:

  • Data analysis & providing assistance to generate all reporting
  • Signatory for all standards e.g., Legal Signatory, and Deputy Radiation Controller
  • Calibration and maintenance of equipment
  • Information management & compliance with all NATA regulations
  • Reviewing and auditing internal worksheets, and samples ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Ensuring compliance to relevant standards ISO/IEC17025 (Running and Management of Laboratory), AS1289 (Methods of Testing Soils), AS1141 (Methods of Testing Aggregate), AS1012 (Methods of Testing Concrete).
  • Assisting and facilitating external audits with regulatory authorities such NATA and VicRoads
  • Training & continuous improvement for processes and testing options, limitations, and appropriate standards, including, training staff in all testing methods.
  • Providing effective support across the supervisory and management team as required operations
  • Assist with asset allocation, procurement of lab equipment and ordering consumables
  • Manage all registers, ensuring compliance, such as OHS, QA staff license, and asset maintenance registers

Skills & Requirements

  • Knowledge of Soil Testing standards and accreditation standards
  • Expertise and knowledge of technical equipment requirements
  • 3-5 years plus experience in a testing laboratory, preferably construction materials
  • Certificate 4 in Laboratory Techniques specialising in construction material testing
  • Proven ability to read a standard, interpret it, and apply it in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory environment
  • Previous experience as a signatory
  • Current Radiation use licence
  • Whitecard

If you’re coming with QA experience, we are looking for:

  • Experience leading team and contributing to at a managerial level
  • Great communication skills with customer service experience highly regarded
  • Good paperwork and administration skills
  • Experience with AS1289, AS1141, AS3798 and VicRoads preferred
  • Nuclear density moisture gauge licence will be highly regarded
